Second Life
Page 5

The following 10 pictures demonstrate the work in progress to create the USS Helena CA-75 in Second Life.

A model of the USS Helena CA-75. Basic design without detail.
The builder and I climbed inside the mount and later, (no pictures taken) down into the upper handling room.

The creation of a 5" gun mount with considerable detail. Not to scale.

In this picture, the builder is showing me that the guns will elevate up and then down.

The small model of the Helena as displayed in the first picture, is sized larger and moved down so as to be viewed better.

The draft copy of our ship is ready for us to walk her decks.

In the next four pictures, the builder and I walk forward from the fantail
toward 5" gun mount #4 on the port side of the ship.

In this picture, the builder is showing me that detail in most any object within Second Life is possible.
This printing press is a copy from the late 1800s. I watched the press in action as pages were printed. Amazing!!
