This is a 4" patch.
It came into being during the 1957 cruise of the
USS Helena CA-75.
Each of its three major colors has a special meaning to us.
The blue represents the United States Navy,
mightiest fighting organization in the world,
while the gold and silver allude to the state of
Montana, whose motto is "Oro Y Plata"
(Gold and Silver).
