School Kids---Look at the faces on some!!


I believe this to be a Shinto Shrine in Kyoto Japan

When I was there in 1954, parts of the wall was still blackened, by the fire bombing raids of march 9 and 10, 1945.
By the B-29's from Guam and Tinian.The Palace was not damaged.

Tiger Balm Garden--Note the dog trying to get him away


Tiger Balm Gardens--Built in 1935 by Aw Boon Haw, the inventor and marketer of tiger balm ( A patent medicine).
When I was there the Chinese guide, said that tiger balm was said to cure any illness except cancer.
Aw Boon Haw died of cancer.
I never did know the purpose of a Pagoda--looked on the Internet, and it said that Pagodas are where sacred relics are kept.
One more thing--I read on the Internet that the Tiger Balm Gardens were sold in 1998 to a land development company.
Wonder what is left??
